It compliments all other forms of treatment and is a unique experience for each person giving what is needed at that moment in time. LEARNING REIKI
Reiki is a very easy modality to learn by anyone of any age. I teach Reiki at all levels in 1 day workshops (except for the Master/Teacher level) for which you will receive a certificate and a book containing all the information that we have covered and more. I also hold a monthly Reiki share where we can get together and develop our skills and confidence as well as sharing experiences and knowledge. It is each persons choice as to which level they want to learn which of course is influenced by the reasons for learning. Reiki can be used for your own healing journey and also used for family and friends. From level 2 you will be able to practice professionally. The workshops are held in an informal style combining both theory and practice in a relaxed setting.
Reiki originated in Japan in the mid 1800's through Dr Mikao Usui. It is believed he came from a wealthy family due to the fact that he was able to receive a good education. He opened his first clinic in Harajuku Tokyo. He became famous for his healing and teachings throughout Japan. The earthquake started many fires which contributed to a high proportion of the deaths. It was the greatest natural disaster in Japanese history. Mikao Usui and his students started to give healing in the area and the demand and need for Reiki was enormous and as a result of his work he became even more famous.
